Apply to the Christus Vivit St. Anne Youth Ministry Scholarship
Hello! I’m Jasmine Noblejas, a recipient of the St. Anne’s 2023 Senior Scholarship. I am studying Mathematics/Economics at UCLA.
I attribute much of my success to the support and community provided by the SAYM and the Emmaus program. It has provided me with a strong faith foundation to navigate the challenges of this new and exciting chapter in my life. My faith continues to be a guiding light, offering me strength, perspective, and a sense of belonging within my community which has prompted my involvement in the University Catholic Center and the campus Filipino Catholic club, Kawan.
I am grateful for the opportunities that have come my way, and owe it to Him for guiding me through this journey. I look forward to using my education and experiences to make a righteous impact.
My name is Aaliyah Ramirez, and I’m currently a second-year student studying biochemistry at the University of Dallas.
I’m currently studying abroad in Rome studying the roots of the Western tradition! It’s very special to be a Catholic if studying in Rome, surrounded by wonderful churches and the relics of many saints; it’s edifying just to be surrounded by the long, deep history of the Church.
The Church continues to guide my conversion—so that I may be a better student, daughter, friend. That my life may always glorify God!
Hi! I’m Katalina David, I’m currently a second-year student at Dominican University of California. I’m studying in biological sciences, and hope to become a PA student for grad school! My college journey started off as a nursing major at Holy Names University, which closed down after my first year.
I felt myself not knowing which direction to go or if this was a sign to make a switch in my goals. Although I go to school about an hour away from church, I still find myself being so drawn to the youth ministry because I find a home in this ministry.
Although my college life has been very hectic just these first two years, I am so blessed to have received this scholarship to guide me in the right direction, with the greatest support system I could ever imagine.
Going to private Catholic schools nearly all my life and still to this day, my faith has always played an important role in everything I do. I have a habit of questioning everything and everyone that falls in my path but I have learned to just let go and let God. God might put me through adversity but as long as I put my faith and trust in Him, I’ll always make it out stronger!
The Youth Ministry scholarship granted me a big help in feeling secure for the beginning of my college journey. My college journey so far has been hectic and had a lot of ups and downs but something that held me down with my journey was my faith.
In times when I felt lost and like I didn’t know what I was doing with my life, putting my trust in God and being a part of the ministry really helped me find myself again. God has helped me get through injuries, hard days at school, and life up to where I am today!
I am completing my AA degree at Laney College and will be attending Sacramento State in the Fall of 2024.
